NEW YEAR – NEW SKILLS
One way to beat the blues is to learn some new skills, or polish up some old ones.
2009 was less than a month old when we waved a fond farewell to the latest graduates of our Candlemaking Classroom.
Pictured above are alumni Lala and Lucy (and our very own Amanda - the “Applique Wax Queen”), together with some of the many candles that they created during their time with us. Lala and Lucy attended an intensive three-day intensive course that included whipped wax, water candles, pour-in pour-out candles, and an introduction to the techniques of dip’n’twist and dip’n’carve. The girls will no doubt soon be brightening up the West Country with their newly acquired skills, and we wish them every success.
Candle making classes for individuals and small groups (of no more than five or six persons) can be arranged to suit existing skill sets and to fulfil particular objectives.
